Millennium Trophy 2017-18

Wednesday 10th January 2018:

This year’s Millennium Trophy competition was exceptionally interesting and a new challenge for entrants. Submissions were of a panel of three images, and were judged by our own Les Ayres EFIAP, EPSA, MPAGB, APAGB. Merit was not just for the quality of the images, but significant marks were given for the way the three images worked together as a panel.

Les held the evening with constructive criticism, tips and – as he said – his own impressions of the panels. For the audience, it was certainly one of the most interesting judging sessions to witness. Hoping all of the entrants felt that Les was fair – it certainly seemed so.

The top marked entries were give final positions. Coming third with his panel entitled “Strictly Blackpool” was Steve McClellan. Second was Jo Knight with her “Beneath the Waves”. And many congratulations to Millennium Trophy winner Ian Hadley – with his portrait panel “Her Indoors”.
